Nov 06, 2016 In the past, many vendors are using the IrDA stack, implemented in Windows. In previous Windows system, USB infrared receivers don’t need their own drivers or IrDA stack. It simply works. Now if Microsoft has removed the IrDA stack in Windows 10 RTM, so all USB infrared. Microsoft IrDA (Infrared) Driver Connect to peripheral devices or Windows 95 PCs without using connecting cables. The driver supports the IrDA 9-wire specification, thereby allowing control-line information to be sent over the link. Applications can access the driver through Telephony API (TAPI) and Unimodem. This support is limited to computer-originated infrared links to a cell phone. Windows does not support phones originating the infrared link.
